Connection changes everything.
At Clarency International Bank, we bring the reliability of global banking to institutions that need it the most — underserved, excluded or emerging banks in the developing world.
The team leverages deep institutional and hands-on experience from two decades of reconnecting markets left behind in the wake of global correspondent de-risking.
In this context, we have seen the real-world needs of underserved markets and understood their unique risk needs. This foundation allows Clarency International Bank to deliver its flagship Active Correspondent Banking model, powered by robust governance frameworks, technology systems and risk controls aligned with international financial standards.
With our headquarters in Djibouti, backed by a seasoned team of banking professionals, we stand at the crossroads of emerging markets, driving stability, shared prosperity, and financial resilience.
Leadership Team:
Since 2004, our seasoned team of financial service institution professionals has been successfully reintegrating banks and non-bank financial institutions with global banking rails. Over the years, they have worked tirelessly to overcome the destructive effects of correspondent de-risking, which has crippled entire regions of the world that needed access to global trade the most.
Guided by Foundational Principles.

Our Mission:
To reintegrate and reconnect financial institutions in frontier markets to the global financial ecosystem, empowering them to thrive internationally.

Our Vision:
To create a level playing field and equal-opportunity financial access so that emerging market institutions can compete as true regional and global players.

A Letter from the Chairman.
We have commenced this journey at Clarency International Bank with a clear conviction: too many institutions in emerging markets have been cut off from the global financial system, not because of their own integrity, but because access was withdrawn without a path back. The impact is real: businesses unable to trade, families unable to protect savings, communities unable to grow.
We’re changing this. Our vision is to rebuild trust and reconnect emerging markets to global finance through active correspondent banking. We are not offering yesterday’s model, but a living partnership through services that restore access.
This is a strong belief that compliance and responsibility can walk hand in hand with growth and innovation, and that the future of finance must be inclusive to be sustainable.
Together with our clients, regulators, and partners, we are determined to create lasting opportunity where it is needed most. This is just the beginning, and I invite you to join us.
With conviction,
Frédéric le Bourgeois
Chairman, Clarency International Bank
